Plastic Bottles & Jugs: Check the bottom of the container for the recycling logo. Inside the logo is a number identifying the type of plastic. Generally, plastics accepted for recycling are #1 and #2.  Place in designated container at City Carton Recycling, 3 E. Benton, Iowa City.

Metal Cans: All tin and aluminum cans are acceptable. Rinse the can. Please remove the labels if possible. Crush the can or stack smaller ones inside larger cans. Place in designated container at City Carton Recycling, 3 E. Benton, Iowa City.

 

Deposit Cans & Plastic Bottles: Place deposit cans and plastic deposit bottles in container at City Carton Recycling, 3 E. Benton, Iowa City. No Glass Please. The redemption value of your contribution goes to the Iowa City A.M. Rotary club and is distributed among many community agencies including the Crisis Center, Domestic Violence Intervention Program and various International Service Project sponsored by the Rotary.
