The Recycling Drop Off Center is located next to the Transfer Station in the 1500 block of State Street. The recycling center is open 7AM - 6:30PM Monday through Friday and from 8AM - 3PM Saturday.
Items accepted at the recycling center include: Cardboard, Newsprint, Magazines, Tin Cans, Clear Glass, Office Paper, Plastics #1-5 & 7, Plastic Grocery Bags.

Plastic Bottles & Jugs: Check the bottom of the container for the recycling logo. Inside the logo is a number identifying the type of plastic. Generally, plastics accepted for recycling in Cedar Falls are type 1-7. Please place in the proper recycling receptacle, these plastics tend to be: |

Glass Bottles and Jars: Clear glass only. Food and beverage containers only. These containers must be rinsed and the lids removed. (Metal lids can go with the tin cans). Please place in the proper recycling receptacle. |

|
|
|
|
Tin Cans: All tin and aluminum cans are acceptable. Metal lids from glass jars are also acceptable. Please rinse the can and remove the label if possible. Crush the can or stack smaller ones inside large cans and then place in the proper recycling receptacle. |

|

|
Phone Books and Hard Covered Books: Both are accepted, please bring these items to the front office for proper disposal. |
